Individual mortars become reflecting pools after a rainstorm at Chaw'Se Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park near Volcano, where Northern Sierra Miwoks once gathered to grind acorns and other seeds into meal. "Chaw'se" means "grinding rock" in the Miwok tongue.
